The Art of the Day is: the art of adapting

My Aunt Harriet's ipod

My cousin convinced my aunt to get an ipod, and he filled it with all the music she likes:
Italian tenors
Gilbert and Sullivan
Show Tunes
Crooners
Nothing later than Andrew Lloyd Webber.
And she loves it! It is magical to her that this little white box can hold all that sound!
This is a woman who is intimidated by computers, even when I try to convince her that it's really as simple as counting ones and zeros really, really fast.
She and her granddaughter each plug their pods into a speaker platform and proceed to blast each other over different floors of the house. 'Tis true, 'tis pity, 'tis pity, 'tis true.
She will take it down to Miami with her this winter and be bopping on the plane, and jazzing on the beach. Rock on, lady!
