The Art of the Day is: Covering Bases.

The New Yorker in me is surprised to find the vestiges of a Mets fan, as the Pennant games get rained out and rained out. Who'da thunk it.
But the art of covering bases is where I find myself today. I just need to be where I need to be, when I need to be there. Some would just call that scheduling, but there is the element of being there and being ready for what might get thrown your way that brings up the baseball metaphors.
I wonder if the Red Queen plays baseball. It does take all the running you can do to keep in the same place.
